Collaboration settings

Collaboration settings specify how Activator packages the messages that a community sends to its partners. You can use default collaboration settings which apply to all messages sent by all communities to all partners, or you can customize collaboration settings at progressively more specific levels.

You can specify collaboration settings that apply to messages sent:

From all communities to all partners. These are the default collaboration settings for sending messages.

From a specific community to any of the community's partners.

From a specific community to a category (group) of partners. This is a Community-to-category specific collaboration setting.

From a specific community to a single specific partner of the community. This is a Community-to-partner specific collaboration setting.

From a specific community to a specific partner of the community using a specific delivery. This is a community-to-delivery specific collaboration setting.

Collaboration settings only affect how messages are sent, not how they are received. To manage rules for receiving messages, see Inbound message validation rules.
